GreerPritchard secured planning and listed building consent on appeal for a large rear extension to this grade II listed cottage, which lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Julie Greer acted as 'critical friend', advising the architect on how best to approach the building to secure consent. The planners remained unconvinced and regrettably we had no alternative but to appeal. The Inspector allowed the appeal, concluding:
"My overall assessment is that the proposals represent a high quality design with a commendable degree of sensitivity to the listed building. There would be no harm to the historic fabric or the plan form of the building and its special historic and architectural interest would be preserved."
